Here are the photos emailed by the Delano shelter volunteers of a very pregnant Cokie.
Even in this miserable state, they reported her as
"very nice, friendly"..not at all cranky like most of us when THIS pregnant......

She's a wonderful doggie! So, Val do you if she was a pet and abandoned when she became pregnant, or...?
ReplyDeleteWe did not receive any history from the shelter, but in many cases, it is likely she was abandoned when she got pregnant. She is very socialized and I would guess she lived with a family or had a home before she ended up at the shelter.....poor baby, she has come through like a trooper!
ReplyDeleteDavid from the Delano shelter just emailed me back and said Cokie was picked up as a stray in a school yard where she was playing with children!
ReplyDeleteWow! She has such a sweet disposition that I thought for certain she had had a home at one point!
